On Saturday, May 4th, HKSR&R will host a Derby Day event with Cellar 4201 winery in East Bend. This family friendly event runs from 3pm to 7pm with full Kentucky Derby coverage on several large screen TVs. Derby attire is welcome and there will be a hat-judging contest for the ladies with categories including “Largest”, “Most Creative/Unusual”, “Most Fashionable” and “Best Overall”.
Bring your favorite picnic/tailgate food along with tables, tents and chairs to come cheer on your favorite horse. The cost is $10 per adult (includes one glass of wine or a wine tasting) and $5 for those 21 and under. Additional wine will be available for sale (please no outside alcohol).
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees will go to help HKSR&R rehab, retrain and rehome rescued horses.
