Derby Day at Cellar 4201

On Saturday, May 4th, HKSR&R will host a Derby Day event with Cellar 4201 winery in East Bend. This family friendly event runs from 3pm to 7pm with full Kentucky Derby coverage on several large screen TVs. Derby attire is welcome and there will be a hat-judging contest for the ladies with categories including "Largest", "Most Creative/Unusual", "Most Fashionable" and "Best Overall".
Bring your favorite picnic/tailgate food along with tables, tents and chairs to come cheer on your favorite horse. The cost is $10 per adult (includes one glass of wine or a wine tasting) and $5 for those 21 and under. Additional wine will be available for sale (please no outside alcohol).
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees will go to help HKSR&R rehab, retrain and rehome rescued horses.

Education Building Wish List

The Education building and quaratine stall are getting their final coats of paint, but we need a few more items to help make it complete! Our wish list is below – if you have any of these items in gently used condition that you would like to donate, please email info@hiddenkhorserescue.org

  • Meeting table and chairs
  • Desk
  • Desk chair
  • Large white board/white board markers
  • Cork boards for bulletin boards
  • Outdoor furniture in rattan, wicker or other couches/chairs for use as additonal seating. Must be sturdy as the building is not climate controlled
  • Large planters
  • Bags of potting soil for landscaping
  • Outdoor area rugs
  • Window treatments
  • Outdoor seating, i.e. bench, patio furniture, etc. for holding outdoor events
